This year was a little different in our house hold. Instead of getting dressed up we headed to a fun festival. We dressed down and went partying. The Garcia's had there 1st Annual Non-Halloween Party. The party kicked off at 2PM and I must say was a blast. As you can see from Brian's very anwsome schdule the kids had a day of fun.

HAPPY 6TH BIRTHDAY CORAL
WOW! As I sit here thinking about the last past six years my mind races. My precious little girl turns six today. As I hold her in my arms I love telling stories about the day she was born. Daddy and I had Mexican food the night before. After, we helped oma move her stuff into her new home. I remember watching daddy working so hard carrying a ton of stuff, as I kept saying, "can we please go home." My back in so much pain, daddy told me to keep walking. So I walked in circles till way past dark. Going to bed that night was horrible, I thought false labor was taking over my body again. So me and my big belly inched our way into the bathtub. Crying in pain I asked daddy to call grandma at 11 o'clock at night. My contractions weren't close at all. Grandma arrived at our house and by now daddy is used to this. False Labor. No big deal. You weren't coming yet. Just the Mexican food.
(Both grandma's loving you the moment you took your first breathe)
Daddy knew the routine. Give me a bath, rest and lots of water. NOT!!!! Grandma walked in the bathroom and said your WATER BROKE!! Tears, Tears, and Tears... I don't remember anything after that until I got in the car and was driving off. I looked at grandma and said where's Curtis. By the time we ALL arrived at the hospital. Oma and Daddy racing behind us. My wonderful mid-wife had me a room and was rubbing my back and getting me ready.(This was Karen Brindle, she delivered you)
To every one's big surprise I was only 3 centimeters. The pain was bad, I wanted to have you natural, no drugs please. (what was I thinking) Having a mid-wife is unbelievable the love and care they show you is amazing. Karen made me a bath in the whirl pool. Daddy and I hopped in the pain went away fast. Karen would come in sit with us check the baby's heartbeat and would talk with us. Hearing all the stories about 12 to 36 hours labors I was for sure going to be one of them. About an hour went by and Karen said I needed to take a break from the water. My big belly climbed out of the whirl pool my feet hit the ground and the contraction of a life time hit me. This wasn't false labor...LOL I tried walking back to my room, my room was two doors down and the walk took about twenty minutes. One contraction after another. I wanted back in that whirl pool now. Karen finally got me on the table and it wasn't 30 seconds and she started signing and telling people to get ready. This baby was coming now. "PLEASE CAN I HAVE PILLS, PLEASE. I don't care what I said me give me something anything, NOW."
(This was my team besides your daddy who wasn't allowed to leave my side. Aunt Dian, Aunt Christian, Oma and Karen. Below is Mindy she was your nurse. She loved you when you came out and took care of you for the first few hours with grandma)
It was to late. AT 3:01AM you, my baby girl were on my chest. WOW! The joy in one's life is unexplainable. (You are about three minutes old here. Beautiful)
Tears of love race in your blood. The unexplained love from a parent is explained. The love of a child is no other. My baby girl came into the world without a sound. Within second the nurses took you away. I wasn't able to see a thing. Hearing them in the back ground saying something was wrong. She's not crying. I'm blessed to have a mom that could be with us. Grandma went with the doctors and nurses down to ICU for babies. I remember being scared and crying with daddy not understanding what has happened. We somehow got some rest and at 6 in the morning we both walked the halls to find our baby girl. We walked in with everyone standing around looking at my little girl. The nurses were running tests to find out what was going on. I remember looking at everyone and saying give me her, I need to feed her. They gave me a sit and put you in my arms and boy did you cry. I believe everyone in the room cried.
<
(Mommy and daddy loving every inch of you. Thank you Lord everyday for the life of our baby girl.)
They later told me you were in shock. I pushed you back in about three times before giving birth.
My little princess came in the world OCTOBER 10,2003 at 3:01am. Weighting 5lbs 10oz and 18.5inches. She's not so small now.
Coral daddy and mommy love you with all our heart. Your a special girl Coral. I thank God everyday for allowing us to be your parents. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY PRINCESS.

STUDENT OF THE MONTH
Proud parents of the FIRST 'student of month'
Dear Parent,
Congratulations! Your child has been selected as the Gator of the Month in his or her classroom for exhibiting responsible behavior and academic achievement.
It is important to your child that you are aware of this achievement and that you are proud of his or her success. Perhaps a hug, smile, or touch from you would increase his or her pride.
Please send a picture to school that can be placed on the Gator of the Month bulletin board. A school picture or recent snapshot will be most suitable, as it may not always be possible to return it.
You are invited to a reception honoring your child on Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at 8:00 a.m. in the cafeteria. Your child will receive a special certificate at this time.
Congratulations to you as the parent of a responsible and respectful child! You are your child's first teacher. Keep up the great work.

Pizza & School
Excited! My first lunch at school with my beautiful daughter. I had pizza, salad and mashed potatoes. I've missed school lunches. NOT! It was fun watching all the kids and the teachers. I really don't remember being that loud at lunch time. My sister also came to eat lunch with her little ones. So the six of us sat in the back at a corner table. It was pretty cool. I plan on making this my Friday afternoon date with Coral.
So proud of my little girl
