HAPPY 11th BIRTHDAY DEVON
Wow! My nephew Devon turned 11 years old today. He had a blast of a birthday party on Saturday. Where a couple of his friends T.J., Tom and Isaiah plus his family enjoyed sharing a special day with him. You would have thought Devon hit the lottery. He got his play station two which included the new Madden (football game), a new BB GUN,(canyon don't even ask for one), a lot of new clothes some neat games oh and to top it off Aunt Jessie was the hero of the day with the new IPOD. Turning 11 was a pretty cool year. Devon I wish you a Wonderful Birthday. Your a pretty special kid with a huge heart. I love you Devon. This is a Special Birthday HUG from aunt Stephanie.

Reisher's Family Reunion
Today was a blast. We had the Reisher's family Reunion at Cowan's Gap. It was great seeing everyone we haven't seen in awhile. These last two years though the reunion seem to be getting a little smaller. We've missed a few loved ones this year. Pap and Aunt Sharon we're greatly missed. I'm sure they we're sitting up above with the rest of our loved ones laughing and smiling with us. Also there's my dad. Just incase you don't know I'm kind of likely I have two wonderful dads. The sad part I don't live near either. Well my dad was missing again this year. He lives in Guam. Has been there for about 7 or 8 years now. I pray to our Lord every night that one day he'll come back to the states. We missed you this year dad. It wasn't the same without you there. The kids this year seem to have good time. There old enough now to enjoy themselves. They played the games and spent most of there time in the water with Chelsea and Tyke. Building sand castle with Brianna. Canyon spending his time playing with Uncle Tom. Chason had a blast playing in the sand and trying to swim in the water. The great thing about family reunions is you get to visit while enjoying your family and just have a great time with each other. It should happen more often. Thank you everyone for a beautiful day. I really enjoyed seeing everyone. Thank you for thinking of the young kids and making there day unforgettable (well maybe not with the candy).LOL

Stumbaugh Family Trip
Our family also enjoyed a day at the Crayola factory. That place was pretty cool. You have so many different projects to with the kids. We made hats, puppets, hand prints, and we also saw how they made crayons. I really enjoyed playing with the Crayola model magic. I sugget everyone try it. There's no mess, super soft and it blend any color you add it to. I just want to say thank you to Heather because I never would have thought of going there. Thank you for making all the plans and showing our family a great time.

Sesame Place
We spent a wonderful weekend with Oma (Curtis’s mom), Scott, Heather and Maddie at Sesame Place. The kids loved it. Canyon rode his first real roller coaster along with Coral and Maddie. We had the chance to meet a ton of charters and best yet Coral and Maddie were in the parade with emo. Canyon was to short still but Oma spent time with him and bought him a big lollipop. Our family had a great time with Curtis's brother’s family and with Oma. Thank you all for a weekend together.

Update on Courtney
First I want to say Sorry to everyone about not updating this weekend about Courtney. Curtis and I took the kids away for three days. Laverne, Courtney's mom wanted me to say thank you to everyone for all the prayers. She really felt his life was being touched. On Saturday we went to York to see Courtney in the hospital. He was wide awake but in a lot of pain. He loved the meds (pushing that little button). He has 24 stitches in his forehead, a broken eye socket and a piece of his inner head in the front was missing. All in all he was very lucky. After seeing the pictures of the car which they had to use the, Jaws of Life on God was watching over Courtney. There was nothing left to his car. We all were surprised to find out he was able to walk out of the hospital on Sunday. He returned to York hospital today (Wednesday) to meet with the doctors and they gave him some bad news. They are going to be doing surgery to his eye within the next week. They said this surgery has it's risks. I guess from what I understand what the doctor said on Saturday was there going to push the eye socket back into place. Which if they push the wrong way could be very bad. The doctors wanted to make it very clear this is not an easy surgery and it does of risks. So once again thank you for all the prayers, but please keep Courtney in you thoughts and prays until he can pull through one more obstacles.

Prayer Needed
Curtis and I just got a phone call from his mom. Curtis's cousin Courtney (23yrs old) was in a car accident on his way to York this evening. We don't have any details as of yet. Courtney's mom and brother are driving up to York as I'm writing this. I'll know more in about an hour. Please Pray for there safety as they drive up to York. Let there minds be calm as their driving. Courtney's a young kid with his whole life in front of him. Pray he will be okay. Thank you in advance for all the wonderful support and prayers!! I'll keep you posted as we get the information.
UPDATE:
Just spoke to Curtis's mom. Let's give thanks, Courtney is awake. From what I understand the doctors are a little worried about his head. I guess what happened was another car was blinded by the sun and crossed the line and hit Courtney head on. There has been so much tragedy for so many families these last couple of weeks. I know we have a young man in our community Donnie Moats, who's family has been through so much already died this week. Another accident on the road. As we give thanks for Courtney being alive please remember to pray for this family, The Moats for the loss there dealing with. Please pray Courtney will be okay. As we know the head is very hard to damage lets hope this holds true. If any of you know Courtney you know he's strong and will fight to get through this. Please keep this family in your thoughts and prays. I'll let you know what's going on when I find out.
Prayer Request for Donnie's Family:
Hello Jenn, could you please send this out to our Mom2Mom prayer warriors? We have again experienced a death in our extended family. Yesterday, August 6, my brother-n-law (Dan Larson), his nephew was killed in a motorcycle accident on RT. 11 in Shippensburg. He is survived by a 6 year old daughter, Mia Moats, sister Casandra "Cassie", and his mom and dad, and also his grandmother, who just recently lost her husband about a month ago. The family is taking it very hard, and the mom and sister are struggling with faith in God. Also, please pray for my sister Lynne, Dan, Andrew, and Tyler Larson, who have had more than enough tragedy in their lives. The boys especially need our prayers right now. This has brought up a lot of raw emotions that have not had time to heel since the death of Timothy and Ethan only less than 1 year ago. Since September of 2007, the boys have had the death of a grandmother, 2 grandfathers, 2 friends, and 1 cousin. I don't know about you but I think that is too much for kids to process at such young ages. I know that trying to teach your children about the facts of life is a challenge in its own, but having to actually live it out is way much harder. The emotions that you have to deal with and experience is hard enough as an adult, I can't imagine how are little ones cope. It is only by the grace of God that we get through tough times like this. I can't imagine a life without God. Just knowing that God promises to be with us no matter what we go through is very comforting. I hope that you will add this to your prayer request list. I really appreciate it and knowing that someone out there is praying for you is very comforting also. Thanks again,
Tricia Eckert

Happy 4th Birthday Haley
I'm the proud aunt of some pretty neat children. I'm sad to say though I live only near a few. Haley Nicole is one of them. Haley has a special place in my heart. I was able to be with Haley moments after she was born. It's pretty special when you see a child born it gives a whole new meaning to life. Haley is this small little child when you look at her you say, "she's so cute." She has the nick name of Bonnie because her and Canyon together are trouble. Canyon nick name is Clyde. When you hear parents yell Bonnie/Clyde be on the look out for Haley and Canyon. I wanted to say Happy 4th birthday Haley Nicole with many more to come.

So Peaceful
My mom and Tim have a wonderful cabin on the river up in Harrisburg. Coral and Canyon love spending time up there. This weekend was a blast. We had six kids up there this weekend, Coral, Canyon, Chason, Tori, Devon, and Haley all cousins. The kids enjoy playing on the swings to playing in the water with the mega station. I think the kids have more fun because everyone on the island loves the kids. The kids get nail parties with Cinderella, a small pool to play in and lots of goodies to snack on. This is from the others who live on the island. It’s funny because the kids just walk from one cabin to the next like it’s there own. For those who don't know the last time we went up which was about three weeks ago. Tim took Curtis the kids and I on the boat for a tubing ride. Canyon went by himself. Three years old and tubing down the river. It was so cute. He kept holding his thumbs up to go faster. He didn't want to stop. Coral tried by herself but was a little scared. Curtis decided to give it a try. Tim and I laughed so hard we had to stop the boat. Curtis's feet where flying in the air as he and tube were passing the boat. Last I decided to give it a try. I jumped in and said go very slow. At 2 m/hr we headed back. This weekend we tried something different. Jim and Karen who are next door have jet skies. Jim offered to take the kids out for a ride. Canyon jumped up so fast throw his life jacket on. Were at a no wake and when Canyon got on the jet sky in front of Jim’s he put his hands on the steering wheel and hit the GO BUTTON, the jet took off. Funny wasn't even the word. I was told by a boater Canyon had the biggest smile on his face going down the river fast. He is since a big boy. Coral was next my little girl is getting big. The smile never left her face. She didn’t want to get off. She wanted to call daddy and ask for her own jet ski. Both kids wanted to keep going. Tori a little unsure at first but after the first ride I think we'll be seeing her again on the river with her own. The river is so peaceful and fun. The kids have a blast and I wanted to thank mom and Tim for having a place where we can go and just spend time together without the worries of life.
